Born in 1987, Fabien aka Madmind discovers electronic music when he was 13 years old thanks to the radio. He eventually enters this peculiar world by musical discoveries such as Prodigy, Laurent Garnier, Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, Hallucinogen and many more…
He then finds the need to express his emotions through musical experiments, which is why at a young age; he starts to compose on amateur software. Simultaneously he discovers the peculiar universe of rave parties with his fist hard core and techno nights; those are what will bring him to buy two platinum decks at 16 years old. He starts to mix on tech-house, drum’n’bass and trance music principally.
Progressively he explores the psy-trance universe with its rich psychedelic tracks and highly coloured sounds. It’s the need for energy, space and evasion that motivates him to stick with this style a little while after, as well as in mixing and in composing, but he also still stays open to new kinds of music. He goes to his first psy-trance gigs through the Electrohm association which will get him gigs of his own. One of which will be at their own festival…
His psychedelic DJ sets are very energetic and refreshing which will eventually convince his audience in bars, raves, frees, radios and festivals.
In 2007, composing music becomes an obsession and after having learnt the bases of the sound synthesis and partly due to his studies in acoustics, he produces his own pieces on professional software such as Cubase and Nuendo.
At the end of 2008 year, he goes to London and makes dj gigs into the clubs. Then, he discovers new styles and new atmospheres which will expand his approach of mix and composition. After going back to France, he releases several tracks on Australian and French labels. He tries new styles such as break beat, minimal, techno, dub, drum n bass. Constantly looking for new sounds, he makes music with a free and eclectic state of mind !
